Barings Real Estate, part of Barings LLC, one of the world’s largest diversified real estate investment managers, has announced that Landmark Manchester (Landmark), a 180,000 sq. ft. office development it is undertaking on behalf on an institutional investor, has received a Wired Certified Platinum rating.
The highest possible rating from WiredScore has been granted in recognition of Landmark’s digital infrastructure and connectivity and makes it only the second building in Manchester city centre to receive the platinum certification.
Following on from the recent announcement that the building’s concrete core is now complete ahead of the Summer 2019 launch date, this accreditation is a significant achievement for the building which aims to deliver the best and latest standards in office space design to enable maximum productivity for occupiers.
Designed by award winning architects Squire & Partners and being brought forward with Castlebrooke Investments as development manager, Landmark is situated in Manchester’s central business district at St Peter’s Square and is one of only two new build office developments due to be completed in the city centre in 2019. Landmark’s 180,000 sq ft of Grade A, BREEAM Excellent, modern and flexible office space is set over 14 floors and will provide exceptional quality finishes and include a double-height reception. A number of energy efficient measures are being incorporated into the development to help achieve a targeted EPC ‘A’ rating, and will feature a Building Management System, LED lighting, electric car charging points and photovoltaic panels to provide on-site electricity generation.
With an emphasis on design, flexibility and amenity, the development will deliver a world-class professional environment with the ability to provide strong digital connectivity in order to accommodate a wide cross section of organisations to suit all requirements.
