Law firm teams up with performance poet for new film

A leading law firm has teamed up with a Yorkshire based performance poet to produce a corporate video with a difference.

Leeds-based Ison Harrison has collaborated with poet Dave Jarman to produce the video, which packs an emotional punch.

Dave is a spoken word artist, songwriter and playwright from York. As well as being a solo performance poet, he also writes and performs with York-based theatre company Gobbledigook.

The film which launches on YouTube, Vimeo and the Ison Harrison website this month, features an original composition called ‘If you ever need me’ written exclusively for the law firm. The film was shot on location in and around West Yorkshire, where Ison Harrison has 11 offices.

Managing partner at Ison Harrison, Jonathan Wearing, adds that “We wanted to try and do something very different with this film and the final result is outstanding. We didn’t want to produce a typical law firm video but wanted to go in a different direction altogether.

“The video is topical and relevant. It’s honest, echoes real life and manages to reflect all the different times where we sometimes need support or a shoulder to lean on. Dave Jarman is a very talented poet, his words are hard-hitting and the delivery is very passionate and totally in sync with our proud heritage as a Leeds-based business. It was really important for us to find a distinctive Yorkshire voice to really bring it to life.”

The film, which was produced by Your Creative Sauce, is being supported by the hashtag #ifyoueverneedme.
