Leeds-based agency gives north’s largest tech festival a brand new look for 2019

With their expertise in brand digitisation and having been involved in the festival for the last 3 years, Leeds-based creative agency, Tall was the natural choice to extend LDF’s brand online for this year’s Leeds Digital Festival.

No longer viewed as a complement to traditional branding, the digital domain is now the first thing that needs to be considered. Many brands are simply failing to pay sufficient attention, trusting instead in tried and tested methods and focusing merely on basics, such as colours or web safe fonts.

Along with inside knowledge of LDF’s ethos and activities, Tall worked with the client’s fresh identity to expand the brand, enhancing it for today’s digital world.

With accessibility in mind, Tall created a Brand Portal which delivers an all-in-one brand management platform with a single source to access and combine every branding necessity in one place.

The Brand Portal was created to allow on-going access to event organisers, marketeers, PR and designers to tailor-made, LDF brand resources which also allows any hosts or sponsors to promote their events with consistency, clarity and maximum impact.

Tall heightened the LDF brand by developing graphics around the themes that drive the event, including an illustration style designed to work as HTML animations, which could also be provided as a suite for other digital applications.

Drawing from this extensive knowledge and experience, Tall will be hosting an event at this years Leeds Digital Festival, explaining the important role brand digitisation has to play for every brand.

The event will take place at Banyan Bar and Kitchen in Leeds City Square on 1st May 2019.

Presented by Tall’s founder and Creative Director, Guy Utley, Andrew Beckwith, Tall’s Head of Design and also include guest speaker Lee Thawley, Head of Brand from the Manchester-based Sorted Group. The event is named ‘.What the hell is brand digitisation?!’

Between them, they will stress the importance of a digital brand personality in the 21st century and explain how ‘going digital’ will prepare brands for future marketing challenges.

Behrooz Saeed, Technical Director at Tall commented:

“We’re extremely excited to be holding our event at Leeds Digital Festival.

“The event sold out within hours of being posted live on the website which is a testament to the publicity the event has received in the last couple of months and the increased traffic levels the website is experiencing.

“Stuart and his team do a wonderful job organising the event which is set to be another record breaker as it enters its 4th year.”
