Leeds Business Lunch Announces Spectacular Speaker Line-Up

Representatives from Channel 4, Leeds City Council and a former Sky Betting and Gaming CEO form the spectacular line-up of speakers at this year’s Leeds Business Lunch. Hosted by the Yorkshire Mafia (YM), the event will return to Bibis Italianissimo on Wednesday 23rd October.

Having recently announced a National HQ in Leeds, Channel 4’s Sinead Rocks, Managing Director Nations and Regions, will take to the stage to discuss the broadcaster’s decision to invest in the city.

Addressing the many benefits that the region offers, Sinead will touch upon Channel 4’s aspirations, as well as some of the challenges that were faced when deciding to site its new HQ in Leeds.

Sinead comments: “As a fairly new addition to the Leeds business community, we’re keen to share a little more about Channel 4 with professionals from across the city. I’ll be talking about our remit and role as a public service broadcaster, as well as our plans to embed the organisation further within the greater Leeds City Region.”

Joining the line-up in a personal capacity, Richard Flint, Former CEO of Sky Betting and Gaming will share the highs and lows, challenges and opportunities that will be familiar to those growing an online business in the North of England.

Though acknowledging that businesses are likely to face a tough 12 months ahead, Richard is confident that the North remains a great place to grow a tech business, he comments: “Despite the political challenges that face us all at the moment, there are still opportunities for those who approach their businesses in the correct way. Leadership style and culture are major factors in success and will be topics that will be discussed further at the lunch.”

Offering professionals an opportunity to meet, learn from other experts and share insight into the many positive developments taking place across the region, Leeds Business Lunch is one of the highlights of the annual business calendar.
This year’s event is sponsored by Lockyers, Mediaworks and Quantuma.
