Leeds Eco Company Promote Biodegradable Bin Bags To Reduce Plastic Waste

Ecovibe have launched a campaign to promote simple ways to swap out traditional cleaning products for eco-friendly alternatives.

The Leeds-based company are encouraging the use of the hashtag #TheBigGreenSpringClean across their social media platforms to draw attention to their bestselling products and promote eco-friendly swaps for everyday household products.

One of the most effective ways to reduce household plastic waste is to switch to 100% plastic free biodegradable bin bags.

Plastic bags are one of the worst offenders of plastic waste. They end up in landfill and eventually, our oceans. However, plastic-free bin bags will biodegrade naturally within 6 months of composting, making them ideal for kitchen waste. If they do end up in landfill, they will also break down into natural elements.

This simple swap can save up to 156 plastic bags per year going to landfill. The bin bags are also compostable, leak-proof and can hold a capacity of up to 50 litres.

Since their launch in 2018, EcoVibe have helped to prevent over five tonnes of plastic from entering the environment. They now offer over 400 products on their website, from biodegradable bin bags to compostable sponges.

Marketing Manager Rebecca Pinder says, ‘Here at EcoVibe, our motto is reduce your plastic, reduce the problem. We believe the fight against plastic starts at home. That’s why we’re committed to helping you replace plastic essentials with eco-friendly alternatives.’
