Leeds independent clothing retailer on a winning streak

Accent Clothing have had quite a month, they say that all good things come in 3’s and they certainly have for Leeds’ longest standing indie. To start off their succession of awards, Accent were crowned the Best Fashion Retailer at the Leeds Lifestyle Awards, they were up against some of Leeds’ biggest names with the likes of Flannels, The Chimp Store and Fabrication to name a few, the award was voted for by the public and received over 30,000 votes in total. This award was a televised event and coverage was shown on local channel Made in Leeds.

Following on from this Accent proceeded to win Best Independent Retailer at the BACIL awards ceremony. The BACIL awards (Business Against Crime in Leeds), represent the strongest business’ in who have helped to keep the Leeds safe year long and have been committed to reducing the city’s crime rate.

And finally, PRS for Music crowned Accent Clothing the first ever winners of their Music Makeover competition, competing against 130 other fashion stores around the UK, Accent were awarded first place prize winning not only £5000 worth of new music equipment to revamp the store but also a bespoke music consultancy from Steve Levine and an exclusive in-store launch event which featured performances from live acts The Marsicans, Bianca Gerald and Luke Tibble.

For 32 years Accent Clothing have been selling designer clothing in-store and online and this experience has enabled them to become experts in what they do. They understand the fundamentals of a business and how important it is to provide first class customer service to their customers, they are renowned for their specialist knowledge in denim and stock a range of designer brands: Canada Goose, Matchless, Belstaff, Replay, Paige Jeans and Grenson.

The PRS Music Makeover prize will give us the ability to do something that we have wanted to do for years… host high quality live music events in store. With the rise of online shopping it is now more important than ever that brick and mortar stores innovate in order to keep customers returning – they have to be a ‘must visit destination’ in their city.”
