Katie and Emma Nattrass-Daniels, founders of the Manchester-based creative content agency, Crème Creative, have been shortlisted in the Creative Industries Entrepreneur of the Year category at the 2018 NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards.

Crème Creative was launched by wives Katie and Emma in January 2016; it now has a 10-strong team and a roster of high profile fashion and footwear clients including Foot Asylum, New Balance, Lacoste, Mallet Footwear,isawitfirst.com and Koi Footwear.

Boohoo founder Jamal Kamani recently invested £100,000 into the agency for a 50% share, which has been used to take out a five-year lease on new office space and a photography studio.

The 2018 NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards told Katie and Emma that it had been a ‘record-breaking year for the awards’ and it had been ‘overwhelmed with the quality of entries received.’

Reacting to the nomination, Crème Creative Managing Director, Katie Nattrass-Daniels said: “Our aim when launching Crème Creative was to spend more time together and create a niche within the creative agency scene, but what has happened following this has just been phenomenal.

“We’ve won some brilliant national and international clients and created work for them that we’re really proud of – from global campaigns to branding work that has helped launch a multitude of businesses.  In addition to that, we had a significant investment from Jalal Kamani – both a mentor and a big name in the fashion industry – which has enabled us to move into a 2,700 sq ft building that gives us the space and freedom to grow and will help secure our ambitious plans.

“Of course, we didn’t have any expectations when entering the awards, so to have been shortlisted really is a massive compliment!”

Now in its sixth year, the NatWest Great British Entrepreneur Awards has celebrated some amazing entrepreneurs over the years, many of whom are now household names. Past winners include David Buttress of Just Eat, James Watt of BrewDog and most recently, Hannah and Sophie Pycroft of Spectrum Collections.

Creator of the Awards, Francesca James, said: “We have been inundated with some incredible entries this year, and all shortlisted applicants should be extremely proud of themselves! This year has yet again seen a record number of entrants and we’ve been absolutely blown away by the strength and diversity of applications.”

“We cannot wait to celebrate entrepreneurship across Great Britain with them, and put a spotlight on the incredible talent within the British entrepreneur ecosystem.”
