Manchester’s DigitalBridge appoints head of research

Manchester based mixed reality tech start up DigitalBridge has appointed a new head of research.

Ilaria Gori will lead the computer vision and machine learning research team to drive new technology innovations for the business.

Prior to joining DigitalBridge, Gori was lead data scientist at Innovative Technology, a leading provider of cash handling technology.

DigitalBridge, based in Manchester, is an award-winning mixed reality company that uses augmented reality, computer vision and machine learning to allow customers to “try on” home décor products in their own kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms.


Ilaria Gori, who has a PhD in computer vision and robotics from the  Italian Institute of Technology, said: “I’ve always loved working with innovative companies who bring solutions to the market that nobody else has thought of.
