Matt Casey joins Armstrong as Chief Creative Officer

Matt Casey has been appointed as the new Chief Creative Officer at specialist agency Armstrong.

His 27 year career has included long, successful spells at International agencies such as PDP (now Momentum), TBWA and gyro UK.

Having worked within the B2B and B2C disciplines, it was his time at gyro UK where he really honed his skills in B2B and he brings a wealth of experience to bolster the Armstrong offer. Matt will be responsible for implementing creative strategies for clients, as well as overseeing the overall creative output as we look to further strengthen our position as a truly integrated B2B agency.

“I’m very fortunate to have worked under the tutelage of creative giants Danny Brooke-Taylor (now of Lucky Generals) and Christoph Becker, gyro global CEO + CCO and it has put me in good stead. I’m delighted to join such a vibrant, progressive agency. There’s a real sense of drive and ambition within the Armstrong DNA. From my very first meeting with Daniel (CEO and Armstrong Founder) I had a really good feeling about the proposition and it was too good an opportunity to ignore (Plus, Daniel is a very persuasive kind of guy). I’ve always been very clear about my role as a Creative Head and that’s serving global clients that face challenging business issues and environments. In order to that effectively, you have to be an agile, full-service agency in the absolute truest sense. The capabilities of Armstrong are extraordinary and the standard of output is world-class. It puts us in a very strong position.”

Matt is passionate about brand and big ideas and has delivered large scale projects for companies including Manchester United, Brother and Nokia, as well as global brands such as PZ Cussons, Nissan and AS Watson. He is highly conceptual but has a keen eye on delivery. This means he will always ensure his creative ideas are fit for purpose and will work long-term across a multitude of audiences and channels. He lives in Altrincham with his wife Louise, two sons and French Bulldog, Rigby.

Daniel Owen, CEO at Armstrong commented, “ We are delighted that Matt Casey has joined Armstrong as Chief Creative Officer to strengthen our Board and creative talent. In line with our vision to be the UK’s leading B2B agency for manufacturing, we needed a Creative Head that could lead and inspire the creative team and work with clients to achieve their objectives. From our first meeting, it was clear that our aspirations and values were aligned. 2019 will see Armstrong grow by over 30% due to new client wins across Europe. We are committed to continued investment in our company and brand to harbour the very best talent, technology and creativity for our clients. “
