Mayor Of Preston tour Fulwood housing development

David Wilson Homes has welcomed the Mayor of Preston, Cllr Trevor Hart to Lightfoot Meadows, its development in Fulwood.

The homebuilder invited the Mayor for a ‘hard hat’ tour of Lightfoot Meadows now the development is beginning to take shape as well as a look around the designer show homes. David Wilson Homes is building 194 homes at the development on Lightfoot Lane.

During his visit Cllr Hart spent time meeting the team behind the scenes at the development, touring the site and discussing the new homes with Planning Director of David Wilson Homes North West, Andrew Taylor and Site Manager, Jordan Wood.

The Mayor also got to see first-hand the quality of the new homes with a tour of the show homes on site.
As part of the development’s S106 agreement David Wilson Homes has contributed a significant piece of land which will be used by Lancashire County Council to build the first section of the Link Road. The leading housebuilder will also provide over £1,000,000 towards community infrastructure and highway improvements, as well as a new play area and public open space.


Andrew said, “We were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Preston onto the site to show him our beautiful new show homes which have recently opened and to also take a tour around the development so that he could see for himself how the development will take shape.”

Cllr Trevor Hart added, “I was delighted to visit the development at Lightfoot Meadows today. A very impressive development and attractive properties were on show. I was particularly pleased to hear how properties had been given additional frontage where they faced present residential properties.

“I was also impressed and delighted to hear how electric charging points are being installed to the vast majority of properties as we move towards more electric cars for the future. A development for the future without a doubt!”
