Miller Homes Launches Yorkshire Community Fund

Miller Homes has launched a Community Outreach Project to help groups, clubs, charities, sports teams or facilities as they begin to re-open and welcome members once again.

The Community Outreach Project, an initiative by Miller Homes, will see a £1,000 up for grabs to help community-based clubs and groups get back on their feet, whether it’s to help with much needed equipment for sports clubs, or community groups such as the Scout Movement, or hobby and activity groups that bring members of the community together for social and wellbeing reasons.

“These groups are such an important part of our communities and we really want to pledge our support by offering one organisation our community fund for 2021”, said Sarah Whinfrey, Regional Sales Manager, Miller Homes Yorkshire. “These community groups help people to stay fit, socialise and form friendships that may last a lifetime, reinforcing just how important community groups are, and how much we have all missed them over the last 18 months.”

Applications are welcomed from clubs, groups and charities across the Yorkshire region and are done so through a straightforward, online process.

“We’ve made the application process really easy so all we need is 200 words as to why your sports club, community group or organisation deserves to win the £1,000 prize,” said Sarah. “We also would like to know what the money will be spent on, and how it will help the members, participants or local community.”

All entries must be submitted via email to ysales at miller co uk by Friday 16th July 2021.

Sarah concluded; “Whether it’s a new team or group you want to establish, equipment needs replacing, or food stock replacing just share your story with us. We can’t wait to read about all the great community work that is taking place and to choose a winner!”

All the information that is needed can be found by visiting the housebuilder’s website or via email request.

The winner will be notified by Friday 30th July 2021.
