Mr Benn to Feature in York Business’ National TV Advertising Campaign

York-based business The Insurance Emporium is launching a national TV advertising campaign this January. The new advert is set to be featured over a thousand times on UK television screens in the New Year.

The advert will star 70’s TV character Mr Benn and The Shopkeeper. This is the first time the insurance company will run a national TV advertising campaign.

In the advert, Mr Benn sets off to go on another adventure when, as if by magic, the Shopkeeper appears to make sure all the things Mr Benn cares about are insured. Viewers also get to meet Mr Benn’s new four-legged friend, Eddie the dog, who has been added to the cast of the classic TV show.

Francis Martin, Chief Executive Officer at The Insurance Emporium, said:

“This is hugely exciting news for everyone here at The Insurance Emporium. Partnering up with a TV legend such as Mr Benn and joining him on his adventures has been a fantastic experience for us, but now to be able to share that with the rest of the country, via our TV adverts, is even better.

“2017 was such a successful year for us, in every aspect of the business, and we think that the launch of our advert really demonstrates our intentions for the year ahead.

“Mr Benn is a much-loved character, with a loyal following, so we were delighted that we’ve been able to create a brand new adventure for people to share in. As part of our expansion and development, we’ve made significant investments in every aspect of the business and now we’re rebooting Mr Benn for even bigger and better adventures too!”
