Mr Benn takes over Waterloo Station to Celebrate 50th Birthday with York Business

This week, children’s TV character Mr Benn took over London’s Waterloo station as part of his new adventure with The Insurance Emporium.

The cartoon star originally came to life in 1967 in David McKee’s book ‘Mr Benn – Red Knight’. These days, he is on a new adventure with the UK based insurance company.

In Waterloo, Londoners won a number of Mr Benn prizes and also entered a competition for a chance to win a gorilla tracking adventure for two in Uganda.

A total of over 3,000 prizes were given away at the Mr Benn experiential.

Francis Martin, Chief Executive Officer at York-based The Insurance Emporium said:

“Five thousand plus welcomed us to Waterloo this week in our three day stay at the station.

“We would like to thank everyone who got involved with the experiential. Helping celebrate Mr Benn’s 50th Birthday in the process.

“To those who couldn’t make it, keep an eye on our website to see where Mr Benn’s adventures take him next.”
