Multi-award winning SPF product created by two Yorkshire business women

Tancream may only be just over six months old, but already the health and beauty brand has amassed a huge following, being lauded across the national and international press as well as receiving numerous celebrity recommendations. The product is a unique face and body premium skin care and sun protection lotion, offering SPF50, five star UVA, gradual self tan plus instant bronzing – all in one elegant bottle.

Following a highly successful launch in Browns, one of Yorkshire’s most renowned department stores, Tancream now has over 45 stockists including stores, salons, spas, clinics, online retailers. The product, and its glamorous creators, Gillian Robson and Katy Foxcroft, have appeared in various magazines and newspapers as well as TV shopping channels, and are now launching into different sectors including travel, sport, salon and spas.

The product idea was devised by the North Yorkshire mums, after Gillian was diagnosed with aggressive skin cancer. Following her recovery, they became committed to developing a sun lotion for safe body coverage with the added bonus of a rapid bronzer and beautiful tan.

With the help of leading sun care expert, Dr Jack Ferguson, they created this unique and potentially lifesaving creation – Tancream. The chemistry behind the product required the UK’s top sun care specialist formulating for over two years and Tancream has been endorsed by dermatologists.

The talented team behind this iconic product are now working with various charities including York Against Cancer to help fund dermatoscopes into GP surgeries to fast track skin cancer patients, Look Good Feel Better to aid women going through cancer treatment and MelanomaMe – supporting skin cancer patients after diagnosis. They have recently partnered with MelanomaMe to help them launch their new program of training courses entitled SPF (Skin Cancer Prevention in Families) 5 Star Accreditation to train Health, Beauty and Wellness staff in being able to identify skin problems and effective communication and information about mole checking.
