My Property Box unveils support for grassroots football in Richmondshire

The Comets sport their new kit

Estate agency, My Property Box, is backing grassroots football by supporting the Under-7s team at Richmond Rockets.

The deal has involved providing strips for the Richmond Comets squad, which was set up in September and plays matches in the Hambleton and Richmondshire Junior Football League.

Ben Quaintrell, founder and managing director of My Property Box, said: “We are proud to support initiatives in the wider community that contribute to enhancing people’s lives.

“Encouraging youngsters to play football is great for their physical and mental wellbeing. It also teaches important lessons about teamwork and other life skills.”

Mandy Bogojevic, secretary of Richmond Rockets, said: “We are grateful to My Property Box for being so community-minded and deciding to sponsor us. The importance of relationships like this should not be underestimated as they are vital to the success of the club.

“As well as providing smart football strips, this support also enables us to keep subscriptions at a reasonable level, so we are accessible to all children, whatever their background.

“This link-up will enable the club to continue developing young players in a safe and creative environment with the emphasis on so much more than competitive football.

At Richmond Rockets, the children’s learning, development as an individual and as part of a team and a love of the game comes before anything else.”

Richmond Rockets welcome girls and boys of any ability and for the 2021-22 season, it has two Under-11s teams – Apollo and Titans; Under-9s – Galaxy; Under-8s – Meteors and Under-7s – Comets.
In addition, it runs Mini Rockets sessions on Saturdays which are a light-hearted introduction to football and games for four-six-year-olds.
