Prominent Leeds family lawyer Lyn Ayrton has received national recognition in the Legal 500 UK awards.
Ms Ayrton, from law firm Lake Legal, is one of only six lawyers shortlisted as the best private client lawyer outside London. The rigorous judging process takes place over many months. It includes over 70,000 interviews with in-house counsel and law firms in the UK to find the best practitioners and firms operating across many different business sectors.
Lyn Ayrton, the managing partner at Lake Legal, said: “The Legal 500 is highly respected in our industry, and this recognition is a great way to end the year. We celebrated our tenth anniversary this year and moved to larger offices to accommodate our growth plans. A landmark year in many ways.”
Lake Legal recently announced a move to an office double the size of its existing space at Park House in Park Square in the heart of the city’s legal district. It will allow the team to grow by eight new staff.
The move followed the appointment of Claire Glaister as a partner at the firm. Claire joined Lake Legal as a solicitor in 2010 and has been pivotal in the firm’s growth.
