Leading development-led care home operator New Care has received planning consent for two new £15million care centres in Stockport.
Helping to address the increasing shortage of beds in the area, the award-winning Cheshire-based operator has received approval for a state-of-the-art 71-bed care home off Hardy Drive in Bramhall and a similar 68-bed care facility on the site of the old Queen’s Arms pub on Stockport Road in Cheadle.
Expertly designed, each of the privately funded ‘new generation’ care facilities will be purpose-built to ensure that the highest standards of care can be delivered in a comfortable and stylish home-from-home environment.
Each property will boast spacious and fully furnished bedrooms, complete with private en suite wet rooms, elegant communal lounges, fine dining rooms, spa assisted bathrooms, a hair salon, nail bar and beautifully landscaped gardens.
Above all, they will provide an outstanding clinical offering including residential, nursing and specialist dementia care, with all residents receiving individual person-centred compassionate care that is enhanced by a meaningful programme of daily activities and excursions.
CEO at New Care, Chris McGoff, commented: “We are committed to bringing our award-winning care facilities to areas of the UK with an identified and well-documented need. The care crisis in Stockport is escalating; seven care homes have closed in the last two years resulting in the loss of 151 beds and we are pleased to help address this by delivering 139 new beds to the area.”
Having worked closely with Stockport Council on the design of the two schemes, New Care is delighted that the projects have been approved and is looking forward to getting started on site in the New Year.
New Care is one of the UK’s leading care home providers. Its portfolio of purpose-built ‘new generation’ care centres is fast gaining an enviable reputation for outstanding care that is second to none. Ashlands Manor, the company’s care home in Sale, ranks joint first place as the number one care home in the North West of England and the most recommended care home in Trafford as voted by its service users. The company’s other properties are not far behind, many scoring 9.9 or 10 out of 10 for care, staff, facilities, cleanliness, food and security on the UK’s leading care home review website.
