Work has started on a £11.8m independent living apartment complex for over 55s in the heart of Northwich in Cheshire. It is part-funded by a £2m grant from Homes England.
The development, by housing provider Your Housing Group, comprises 70 one and two bedroom apartments including 45 for shared ownership and 25 for outright sale. The single four-storey block on Watling Street is situated alongside the River Dane in the centre of Northwich.
The scheme will incorporate on-site amenities including a bistro, and offer landscaped gardens and parking facilities to the rear.

Your Housing Group became one of Homes England’s Strategic Partners earlier this year.
Your Housing Group is working in partnership with Galliford Try on this project and the development is designed by Cheshire-based architects, Pozzoni. The scheme is due for completion in January 2021.
