With manager Lee Clark’s arrival and so many exciting changes underway at Blyth Spartans, it is fitting that the club should be starting the season with new kit sponsors.

Copy, print and scan management company, SOS Group, has just been announced as the new Spartans’ sleeve sponsor and the firm is thrilled to be associated with the club at such a pivotal point in its long history.

John Behan, director at SOS Group, says: “We’re very proud to see our logo on the Blyth match shirts.

“This is a club with a long and proud history and we’ll be following the team’s progress very closely this season. The National League North is a highly competitive division and it should make for a fascinating league campaign.”

SOS Group, based on the Team Valley, has numerous clients in Northumberland and a strong reputation in the sports industry. In the last year it has provided digital office equipment services at competitions including the IAAF World Athletics Championships, the Special Olympics GB National Games, British Swimming Summer Championships and World Para Athletics Championships.

Mark Scott, the club’s commercial director, says: “Blyth Spartans are always looking to partner with successful local businesses and SOS Group ticks all the boxes.

“In SOS Group, we not only have enthusiastic supporters of the club, but also a company trusted by some of the biggest names in sport. Their logo looks fantastic on both the home and away club kit and we look forward to a long and successful partnership.”

Historically one of the great names in English non-league football, Blyth Spartans are competing in the National League (North) for the third consecutive year.

Last season, they finished in their highest ever position in the football league system since their formation in 1899 and this year will continue to compete against many full-time former football league clubs as Northumberland’s most senior club.

Launched in 2002, to supply digital office equipment, related software and support, SOS Group services ‘blue chip’ clients nationally and, increasingly, internationally. It also works with local and start-up businesses.

Employing 23 staff, services include document management, scanning, cost consultation, managed print services and supplying and maintaining leading brand digital office equipment. It is an accredited Kyocera UK agent and Lexmark approved partner.
