Community groups and organisations from across the North East are encouraged to apply for a grant from the new Venator Community Fund.

Eligible community groups and organisations from across the North East have until August 31 to apply for one of 40 £250 grants for activities that inspire teamwork, as part of the Together Fund.

Venator, the experts in pigments and additives, has its global HQ at Wynyard Park and UK manufacturing facilities at Greatham and Birtley, launched its first ever £20,000 Community Fund last month in a bid to support the communities in which its employees live and work. The Together Fund is one of two community funds aimed at supporting teamwork and innovation in the local area.

Community groups and organisations can apply for a grant from the Together Fund from now until midnight on the 31 August 2018. Applicants should visit www.venatorcommunity.com and submit 250 words about how their group or organisation would use the £250 grant to promote teamwork. All successful applications will then go head-to-head in an online public vote in September 2018, with the top 40 projects each awarded £250.

Venator will introduce a second fund, the Bright Ideas Fund, to inspire innovation through ideas in science, engineering, technology and maths in early 2019.
