Ryecroft Glenton (RG), the Newcastle-based advisory firm, has raised more than £1,300 for Marie Curie with a series of fundraising activities.
A team of employees, led by Fiona Hall, at the Newcastle-based firm organised a ‘Wear it Yellow’ day for colleagues to raise funds and awareness in aid of UK charity Marie Curie. Additional events held throughout the day included staff baking yellow cakes, selling daffodils and holding a raffle, with prizes donated by the team at RG.
The activities initially raised a total of £663, with the partners at RG matching the funds to achieve a grand sum of £1,326.
The fundraising was part of Marie Curie’s Great Daffodil Appeal, which has been running since 1986. It helps Marie Curie provide care and support to people suffering from terminal illnesses across the UK. The charity’s nurses provide high-quality care services to patients and their families, with the aim to enable people to remain in their homes until the end of their lives.
This is the fourth year running that RG has supported Marie Curie, including 2017 when it raised £1,297.
Fiona Hall said: “The RG team really come together to support important causes like Marie Curie and we are delighted to have beaten last year’s total.
“Marie Curie is a charity close to the hearts of a number of our colleagues at RG, and the efforts they made by dressing up, baking, donating prizes and buying raffle tickets has been fantastic.”
