Local five star housebuilder, Barratt Developments North East, which encompasses the Barratt and David Wilson Homes brands, is celebrating a collective 120 years of service between four of its longest serving employees.

The brands are marking the achievements of June Thompson, a sales adviser with 40 years of service; Sue Law, a sales adviser with 20 years of service; Tony Austin, a project manager with 30 years of service and Garry Dodds, a joiner with 30 years service. Each of the winners of the Long Service Awards have been recognised with a certificate, engraved trowel and gift vouchers worth up to £2,000.

Commenting on her 40 years with Barratt Developments North East, June Thompson said: “Barratt is a fantastic company to work for, which is why I’ll have been here for 40 years this month! It’s a business that really looks after its staff and certainly one that I’m proud to work for. During my time here I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many people. It’s very rewarding to see the excitement a new home brings and the difference it makes to our customers’ lives.”

Scott Martin, Managing Director at Barratt Developments North East, said: “We take so much pride in investing and developing all of our team members, as they are the ones that have helped us to achieve five star status for eight years running! The dedication and hard work that our most recent Long Service Award winners have shown is outstanding and I would like to personally extend my thanks to them.

These awards allow us to show our gratitude and give back to our employees for all that they have done for the company over the years. June, Sue, Tony and Garry are all assets to the brands and we are incredibly proud to have them as a part of the team here.”
