Office Monster supports SUFC with kit sponsorship

Office Monster, the customer-led, online office supplier, has agreed a sponsorship deal with Stafford United Football Club (SUFC) that will see the brand featured across all 80 shirts that are worn by the players in the first and development teams, both home and away.

Strategically choosing to support a grassroots club, Office Monster recognised the need for SUFC to establish professional relationships as the players took to the pitch competitively for the first time this season.

Providing funding that would allow the team to progress with its plans and become increasingly competitive was further rationale for the national office supplier.

Chairman of Stafford United Football Club, Rich Gibson, comments: “There is a real psychology when you have a kit sponsor, it shows your competitors that you mean business. Not only does this agreement mean that we are able to take to the pitch in style, but it also encourages other businesses to get involved with us too.

“While we have worked hard to produce results from the outset, bringing in UAFA B Licence Coach, David Tuck, as our first team manager, it has been vital that we establish the infrastructure that will afford us long-term growth and help take us to the next level.

“We arguably have the best facilities a Sunday League Club could wish for and we are the only club to proudly carry a purple monster on the front of our shirts!”

Director of Office Monster, Steve Hanley, said: “When we were approached about sponsorship by SUFC we jumped at the chance. As well as being a great opportunity to showcase our brand across the shirts, this agreement also reinforces our brand values, which include to give back to the community.

“SUFC are a small club with big ambition and we like that about them. There is no doubt that they will go on to meet with their objectives to become an FA charter standard club before the end of this seasons campaign. We will be cheering them along!”

More than simply a football club, SUFC was launched by Rich Gibson, a British Army Sergeant Major, to bridge the gap between service personnel and civilians in the local community. Recognising a divide, the club encouraged players to come together and to interact both on and off the pitch.
The club is a member of the Stafford and District Sunday Football League. It has the mantra “Ubi Concordia Ibi Victoria”, which translates as ‘with unity comes victory’, at the foot of its crest. The crest also displays crossed swords and the Staffordshire knot depicting the collaboration between the service community and civilian population in Stafford.
