Opticians in Salford undergoes £100,000 store expansion

The expansion of Specsavers in Salford will allow more eye health and hearing services to be offered

A Salford opticians is currently completing a major store expansion, representing a £100,000 investment into Salford’s community healthcare provision.

The expansion of Specsavers in Salford Shopping Centre will allow more eye health and hearing services to be offered to customers than ever before.

The store’s state-of-the-art optical service will boast new standing podiums, with tablets integrated into the system offering the latest Frame Styler technology – meaning customers can check out up to four spectacle looks at once.

The expansion also includes the introduction of a contact lens area, where the store’s dedicated team of contact lens experts can offer private insertion and removal sessions, free of charge.

The growing demand for audiology services also means the Salford store’s new equipment will see it offer an enhanced hearing service, supported by the store’s team of trained audiologists.

The improved hearing test room is currently undergoing extensive insulation works to improve the quality of sound and eliminate background noise.

This investment in new facilities and technology will also further enhance the store’s capability, including the detection and management of minor eye conditions and dedicated diabetic screening.

Store manager, Mohammed Shakeel, says: ‘This expansion is a proud milestone for our team, and has only been made possible by the loyal support of the Salford community over the years.

‘The decision to invest in our store supports our growing business needs and has been carefully planned to ensure that we offer the best possible service to our customers.

‘With increased appointments, shorter waiting times, and improved technology, we’re really proud of the changes that we’re making to the store. The entire team is excited for our loyal customers to experience the changes for themselves, whilst welcoming new customers through the door.’
