Sheffield-based orthodontic business, ArchformByte, has invested almost £25,000 in new software to increase productivity.
Qualify CaseTrac allows both clinician and technician to monitor the progress of each individual patient case as it transits through the laboratory.
Each case that comes into the laboratory is tracked and monitored at each stage, as it follows the process from scanning, 3D printing, forming, finishing, quality control and despatching.
Each clinician has their own unique login, to enable them to upload all the necessary prescriptions, scans and photos and to view progress of their patient’s case.
Once a case is accepted, the clinician is notified that a C Thru Review is ready for assessment. CaseTrac allows quicker, more efficient communication between the laboratory and the clinician, reducing time delays between and acceptance and going into production.
Half of the funding for the Qualify CaseTrac software, which was created by Original Software Ltd, was granted by the European Regional Development Fund. The programme has increased efficiency for ArchformByte by reducing case production time significantly.
ArchformByte is a specialist orthodontic laboratory based in Sheffield. The company manufactures everything that straightens, whitens or protects teeth including C Thru clear aligners for straightening teeth, Monarch mouthguards for all sports, anti-snoring appliances, fixed appliances, removable appliances, digital models and 3d scanning services.
Pennie Hudson Ward, CEO of ArchformByte, said: “High levels of productivity are of paramount importance, as unnecessary delays can cost clinicians considerable chairside time and money.
“We are always looking for new technology that will increase our current capacity and allow us to constantly improve delivery times for our clients.
