PK Education continues to grow with latest staff signing in Sheffield

Rapidly expanding teacher recruitment agency PK Education has welcomed a new member to its Sheffield office.

Emily Barlow joins the team as a recruiter. The 21-year-old completed a business administration apprenticeship and was employed by a firm of solicitors in the city before fulfilling a lifelong ambition of working aboard as a holiday representative.

Now back in the UK after a year in Gran Canaria, Emily said she was delighted to be employed by PK Education.

“It’s absolutely fantastic, I could not have picked a better office to work in,” said Emily.

“It’s a really good team.”

“I’m really enjoying what I’m doing. There’s always something to do, it’s all go and I’m really busy which is nice.”

As part of her role Emily will service the company’s partnership work with Supply Clouds – an online platform devised to streamline the booking process of supply teachers with registered Academy groups of schools.

Commenting on the latest appointment, Lee Carpenter, Director of PK Education said: “We’re delighted to welcome Emily to the team at such an exciting time for the business.

“We are rapidly expanding and the partnership with Supply Clouds is another significant step forwards for PK. The very ethos of the platform complements our own; we put performance before profit and intelligently match teachers to schools based on their skills, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.”

Emily’s appointment marks a massive year of growth for PK, doubling turnover and staff numbers in only 12 months. Established by Karl Housley and Paul Gallagher, the firm now boasts eight offices in Newcastle, Wakefield, Sheffield, Nottingham, Birmingham, Leicester, Manchester and Leeds.
