In 1992, the co-founder and Managing Director of Lustalux started out this little window film company in his small dining room spending hours scanning the yellow pages and cold calling potential customers.
Richard Lancaster had a vision to install window film not just to local businesses but to businesses across the country.
Over the course of the last 30 years, Lustalux has grown from a small niche of window film installation to an award-winning window film, architectural wrapping and signage specialist company offering equal levels of quality and service in all 3 sectors often doing a package deal as part of a business rebranding project. This speed of progression saw him move from his home office to a small unit on the outskirts of Preston within a couple of years. Lustalux now has several offices across the UK with its head office at a prestigious unit on Preston Docks.
Richard commented “This is an incredible milestone for any company. I am honoured to have led Lustalux to success but it’s through the hard work, passion, and dedication of our team that the real magic has happened. One of the biggest growth areas in recent years has been the design and installation of striking wall murals for residential care home projects”.
The company now has an in-house design team headed up by Laurie Edmondson who created Lustalux’s bold new branding. The design team works closely with the customer to produce stunning and meaningful concepts to brighten up and meet the business need.

Lustalux were chosen to provide a range of services as part of the work at Preston Bus Station, these included safety window film to bring some of the 1960’s glazing up to current regulations to prevent this Grade II listed building from falling into disrepair.

They teamed up with a joinery contractor who provided timber battening for the fence before installing aluminium panels wrapped with laminated full colour graphics that created a peaceful woodland scene. “There isn’t a week that goes by that someone doesn’t comment about that job.”
