IT specialist – pure technology group (PTG) – has embarked on a £½ million digital transformation project to overhaul its internal infrastructure, as it sets its sights on £100m revenue by 2024.

The six-month implementation of a comprehensive CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) platform – NetSuite – marks the company’s biggest investment in an internal system, in its 14-year history.

Designed to revolutionise the company’s entire sales lifecycle – from enquiries and quoting, to fulfilment and delivery – the goal is to better leverage technology to streamline efficiencies and strengthen customer service levels, during the firm’s next phase of growth.

By linking into all partners’ EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) platforms, the result will be instant access to pricing, stock levels, and information on all product ranges, for immediate quotations and reduced lead-times.

The robust NetSuite platform will be built, deployed and supported by CRM and ERP specialists, Nolan Business Solutions.

“This is a huge automation project for pure technology group, which will boost our productivity as a team and, crucially, enhance our service quality in a crowded market,” commented PTG’s head of innovation, Simeon Banks. “Customers will be able to order better, thanks to access to our top 10 suppliers’
products. And the use of tech to streamline our processes, frees up our brilliant colleagues to have more meaningful conversations that add greater value to the customer experience.”

The latest investment follows hot on the heels of PTG ploughing £1.2m into a new, state-of-the art hybrid workplace in Leeds. The new site – located in Holly Park Mills – has undergone an extensive design, build, and fit-out programme, and now provides a landmark HQ for the organisation’s previously dispersed reseller and MSP teams.

“Despite the challenges of the pandemic, forward-thinking, ambitious firms need to be bold and continue to invest – in technology as well as talent,” added Simeon. “For the first time, colleagues from our Leeds and Wakefield hubs are now united, under one roof in our new HQ, which brings together our fighting spirit.

“And our commitment to the six-month NetSuite deployment is a signal that we are committing to delivering the highest level of service for customers too. This is particularly crucial at a time when adoption of new technologies is high, and it should benefit our vendor and distribution partners as well.”

Currently on track to hit £61m turnover in this financial year, PTG was acquired by Fulcrum Technology Group in April.
