Purple Riot ends 2019 with a trio of high profile hospitality, leisure and lifestyle account wins

Northern Marketing Awards Winners!

Manchester-based integrated agency Purple Riot, is celebrating a trio of account wins in the hospitality, lifestyle and leisure sectors, and a win at the Northern Marketing Awards for Best Health & Beauty Campaign.

Independent burrito restaurant group, Changos, has appointed Purple Riot to deliver a creative integrated campaign, including marketing, PR, social media and influencer relations, for a brand repositioning project in January for three venues across Manchester and Liverpool.

The team will also be providing PR and influencer outreach for London-based nightclub group, The Mansion. The group is famed for its secret-location all night parties, and Purple Riot will be providing its services on a project by project basis, starting with The Mansion’s gold-themed New Year’s Eve party in central London.

And last but not least, the team has also been appointed by CBD oil brand, The Tonic, to deliver PR and influencer outreach on a retained basis throughout 2020. Purple Riot was selected by the founders for its understanding of the media in this space, and for its approach to product PR and influencer relations.

Roger Taylor, founder of the Changos group, commented: “Purple Riot impressed us with their creativity and bold approach to communications. We wanted to work with an agency with experience and strong credentials in the hospitality sector, and who aligned with our own values of being creative and authentic. As a group, we are going from strength to strength and have some exciting plans for 2020. It’s great to have Nikki and the team onboard.”

Kate Henderson, joint founder of The Tonic Tribe, said: “We were impressed with Purple Riot’s straight talking, creative approach to PR. The Tonic is a bold brand with strong messaging and some very unique products, and we wanted to work with a team that understood our values and weren’t afraid to get stuck in and help to spread our empowering messages to the world!”

Purple Riot also won Best Health & Beauty Campaign for its work with online cosmetics giant, Beauty Bay, at the Northern Marketing Awards in November. The Purple Riot team delivered a stylish and creative launch event for the brand’s first own-brand range of eyeshadow palettes, for VIP customers and influencers.

Nikki Kitchen, founder and MD of Purple Riot, said: “The client wins have strengthened our hospitality, leisure and lifestyle credentials, and we are excited to be working with three brands who strive to be different and embrace a creative approach to marketing communications.

“The account wins and the Northern Marketing Awards success mark the end of a successful year for Purple Riot, and we are looking ahead to a very bright 2020! Next year, we plan to refocus our offer with a more strategic focus on the leisure and lifestyle sectors, and we have big plans to launch a sister agency focusing purely on creative events.

“We have made the decision to separate out this arm of the business as we feel that there is space for a truly creative events agency in Manchester and beyond. We have an exciting and award-winning portfolio in this sector, and we have ambitious plans to take on some of the bigger players with our stand-out, bold approach to creating, planning and managing events.”
