Recruiter opens doors to new city centre office and plans for growth

Recruiting experts, Hays has opened its doors to new offices in Broad Gate to accommodate for future growth plans. The office provides the 90-strong team with a prominent central location in Leeds and better facilities as the team continue to serve local businesses and provide job seekers with opportunities.

The 12,800 sq. ft space allows for expansion as Hays plans to grow their offering in IT and digital technology, as well as construction and property in the region.

The team celebrated the opening with a week of activities including a quiz night for charity partner Action for Children, as well as an afternoon for family and friends as the recruiter aims to establish a family friendly working environment.

Jackie Mordue, Managing Director of Hays Yorkshire & The North, commented: “We’re really pleased to have moved into a fantastic new office space in the heart of the centre. The space accommodates our growing team in a great new environment as well as allowing for future expansion.

As Leeds continues to establish itself as a prominent tech hub, we’re looking forward to being able to expand our team to continue to support businesses who are competing for top technology talent. With recent figures revealing Yorkshire’s digital technology firms have a total turnover of £3.7bn, there’s a wealth of opportunity for our team to be able to build relationships with businesses and job seekers alike as start-ups through to corporates look to establish a base in Leeds and throughout Yorkshire.”
