A software firm is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its industry leading inspections product with the news that 18 million reports have been completed for commercial rental, cranes and lifting firms.
CheckedOK was used by CoreRFID clients to generate the reports, with certification documents, for the nearly 95,000 firms they service. Since 2009, 3,227,000 items of equipment have been checked and their status recorded.
CheckedOK, which has establsihed itself as the market leading inspection system for the cranes and lifting industries in the UK and Ireland, is now looking to extend its client base at home and abroad. CoreRFID has 65 clients using CheckedOK in the British Isles with a global customer base extending to Spain, Germany, Switzerland and Australia.
CheckedOK records results of inspections from engineers working remotely. The data is entered through hand-held devices such as phones and tablets and is immediately sent to a secure hosted database. Reports and certification are then available to users online via a web browser. It also assists users to meet LOLER and PUWER industry regulations.
CheckedOK was initially designed in response to the challenges faced by one of Ireland’s leading manufacturer of custom made solutions for materials handling, lifting gear and construction plant. The firm still uses the system today.
CoreRFID technical sales director Richard Harrison comments: ‘CheckedOK’s success is due to it speeding-up the inspection process, especially for firms which have switched from paper-based systems, while improving accuracy and customer service.
‘While CheckedOK is an off the shelf system, it is always tailored to meet every users’ specific needs such as calculating labour, the cost of materials and charge out rates for invoicing. When regulatory and operational requirements change, the system is adapted to the new situation.’
Technical director Munzi Ali comments: ‘Our future work will be to evolve the system to give users even more flexibility and enable them to take advantage of the latest mobile technology.’
