Senior appointment at WHC as global trading grows

Simon Graham, General Manager at Weston Handling Consultancy

WHC Ltd (Weston Handling Consultancy) have appointed Simon Graham as their new General Manager.

The company, based at Fieldhead Business Park, Bradford, provides reel, roll and shaft handling equipment for the paper, packaging, printing, film and foil industries, across the UK and worldwide. They also offer full consultancy services to help customers improve the safe handling of reels, rolls and materials in their factories.

Simon has more than 11 years’ experience in the sector, most notably with the international printing, packaging and converting company, Printpack, where WHC reel handling equipment was widely used.

His experience has equipped him with an in-depth knowledge of storage processes from start to finish, coupled with great expertise in ensuring minimum waste, in both labour and materials. Simon has first-hand knowledge of implementing safe working practices under SEMA (Storage Equipment Manufacturers Association) codes of practice.  He also is well-versed in BRC (British Retail Consortium) and AIB International (American Institute of Baking) standards,


Simon said “In my role as General Manager at WHC my focus will be on ensuring that customers are provided with a bespoke package for all their manual handling needs. I’m keen to use my experience with both raw materials and finished goods to enhance WHC’s handling services, delivering a quality solution, tailored to suit each customer’s needs.”

Managing Director of WHC is Stephen Weston, an internationally-renowned inventor and entrepreneur. He said: “Simon brings with him a wealth of experience of reel handling gained in a large packaging manufacturing environment.He has extensive practical knowledge, developed while working alongside machine operatives and management teams.
