Simon Charles Auctioneers & Valuers, the Stockport-based auction house specialising in selling high-street and online retailers’ end of line stock, surplus stock and customers returns through online and live auctions, will be hosting an open day for businesses.
The open day, which will be on the 28th of November from 11.00 to 13.00, is organised to welcome all businesses that would like to find out how Simon Charles Auctioneers & Valuers operate and how they can benefit from selling unwanted stock through the auction house.
The auctions offer vendors to sell their stock, anything from furniture, electronics, and jewellery to tech, cosmetics or toys. There are about 12,000 items auctioned every week.
There are 160,000 shoppers registered with Simon Charles Auctioneers & Valuers. The auction house hosts about 20 online auctions a week as well as a live furniture auction every Thursday and a large live auction (which is a mix of all items) every other Saturday.
Sharlene Rothwell, from Simon Charles Auctioneers & Valuers, said: “The average prices per square ft of warehouse space range from £6 to £15. For that reason, stockpiling can prove to be extremely cost-inefficient for businesses. Our auctions are one of the ways for businesses to save money on renting large warehouses and also make money on items that might have not ever been sold or would have to be disposed of.
“The aim of our open day is to speak to businesses about what we do, with no obligation, no business names need to be stated. Everyone is welcomed and our auctioneers are here to answer any questions.”
