Slug & Lettuce has unveiled its first venue in Durham, bringing a dose of glitz and glamour to the city.
The brand-new site on Walkergate features deluxe décor full of bright and bold botanical prints, neon hues, plush velvet fabrics and flashes of gold. Dark timbers, art deco-inspired fixtures and festoon lighting complete the design, creating a dramatic aesthetic that offers the ultimate hangout for cocktail lovers.
The bar’s striking birdcage booths decorated with cherry blossom will provide a VIP experience for lunches, dinners or drinks with the girls and can be booked in advance whatever the occasion. Neon signs, a digital selfie wall and living flower walls make it very easy to find that all-important selfie and Instagram.
Slug & Lettuce’s VIP cocktail masterclass station will also provide picture-perfect moments, allowing customers to experience fully interactive cocktail-making classes that will get your night off to a great start. From Pornstar and Espresso Martinis to Brambles and the classic Mojito, customers need look no further when planning hen-parties, birthdays or simple get-togethers.
Those that don’t want to make their own can sit in one of the stylish booths and enjoy the exciting cocktail menu, which includes everything from Piña Coladas served in golden pineapples, to refreshing spritzes, classic tipples and signature Pornstar Martinis. Groups can also try one of S&L’s famous cocktail trees, filled with Cosmopolitans, Pimms, French Martinis and more, they are an absolute must for every night out.
The food menu is home to a host of gorgeous dishes that include everything from Slow-Cooked Beef Bao Buns to a tempting Salmon Superfood Salad. Delicious open sandwiches are perfect for a light bite, with Shredded Shawarma Chicken, Red Pepper and Creamy Houmous, or Crayfish and King Prawns available to choose from!
Vegetarians and vegans won’t be disappointed either, as there are now twelve fabulous options to choose from.
