Southport’s Access Point Wins Shopping Centre Brief

Putney Exchange Shopping Centre

Southport-based business, Access Point, has been appointed as the exclusive commercialisation partner for Putney Exchange Shopping Centre, which is located on Putney High Street in the heart of one of South West London’s most affluent areas.

Putney Exchange is home to a number of desirable retail brands including Waitrose, Jo Jo Maman Bebe, Gap, L’Occitane, Oliver Bonas, Smiggle and Waterstones. The high end shopping and leisure destination also includes an eclectic mix of independent retailers and an impressive food and drink offer.

As part of the commercialisation brief, Access Point has been tasked by Workman LLP and BlackRock with maximising income potential for the shopping centre, whilst also introducing the right mix of brands and promotional partners to appeal to shoppers in the catchment area.

David Robertshaw, CEO at Access Point, said: “Putney Exchange is a vibrant retail and leisure destination, which is in a prime location for attracting visitors with a high disposable income, particularly those with young families. We are looking forward to introducing a range of high end brands and activities that will really tick the right boxes with the demographic of the local area.

“Enhancing the visitor experience is very much part of our brief and we are ready to hit the ground running in bringing on board partners that will complement the strong mix of independent and high street brands already associated with Putney Exchange.”

Caroline Main, Senior Associate at Workman LLP, the commercial property management and building consultancy firm for Putney Exchange, said: “We are hugely excited about working with Access Point to deliver the next phase of the commercialisation programme.

“The team has demonstrated a good understanding of the core customer at Putney Exchange and I am sure the brand partnerships and activities in the centre will be a big hit with shoppers in our catchment area.”

Access Point is also the exclusive commercialisation agency for Clifton Down shopping centre in Bristol, another retail and leisure destination in the Workman LLP and BlackRock portfolio. In addition, the specialist commercialisation firm works with a number of retail and leisure destinations across the country including Star City in Birmingham, Woking Shopping Centre and Princes Quay Shopping Centre in Hull.
