Stockport accountancy firm to host annual fundraiser in aid of a local charity

2018 quiz winners JMW Solicitors

A Stockport-based accounting and business advisory firm is looking for local businesses for its 16th annual quiz night in aid of Beechwood Cancer Care Centre.

Booth Ainsworth, which is part of the Baldwins Group, has raised more than £60,000 for the organisation over the last 15 years and is looking for teams of four, from companies across the town, to enter this year’s quiz.

The event, which will take place on June 13th at Cheshire Conference Centre, will see guests compete for the Booth Ainsworth trophy while raising vital funds for a great cause.

Don Bancroft, Managing Director of Booth Ainsworth, said: “We are delighted to be supporting and raising funds for the Beechwood Cancer Care Centre again this year.

“We hope to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic local charity. I would like to urge local businesses to join us, put their general knowledge to the test and show their support.”

Beechwood Cancer Care Centre was established in 1990 to support people from across the North West affected by cancer and other life-limiting illness, such as motor neurone disease.

CEO of Beechwood Cancer Care Centre, Linda Steggles, said: “We are incredibly grateful to the team at Booth Ainsworth for their amazing support over the years and it’s fantastic to have such an established partnership with a local company who is committed to helping a local cause.

“The money raised at this event will help the Centre to continue to deliver its vital services to people across the North West. The charity needs £4,000 per day just to keep running, so every pound raised is greatly appreciated.”

The event will start at 6pm, entry price is £55 for a team of four and the ticket includes a hot buffet supper.
