Storage and Handling Equipment Business Secures Land in Shildon

North East headquartered business Advanced Handling and Storage Ltd today announced expansion plans with the purchase of an additional 1.8 acres of land with funding from Barclays.

Advanced Handling and Storage Ltd is a rapidly expanding business established 1996 by entrepreneur Chris Moody.  The business specialises in the provision and installation of new and used storage and handling equipment for industrial units, factories, warehouses, shops and retail outlets across the UK. The new funding will enable the purchase of land adjacent to his existing premises at All Saints Industrial Estate, Shildon.

Chris Moody, Managing Director, Advanced Handling and Storage Ltd said: “We’ve steadily grown the business organically and are now operating across the UK. Developing new premises will enable us to expand our operations providing us with more storage space and the option to introduce new lines. It’s great that Barclays were able to help fund the new site which will help secure the future of the business and take us to the next phase of our growth plans.”

Advanced Handling and Storage Ltd employ over 20 people locally and turnover for the current year is expected to exceed £2.4million.
