Teesside container company saves Mountain Rescue Team

A Teesside charity has been supported by the donation of two secure storage containers while renovations take place at its base.

Mobile Mini, a leading hirer of secure storage containers and portable site accommodation has come to the aid of Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team, which needed space to store equipment during the renovation of its dilapidated garage area.

The Company has provided two 20ft containers free of charge through its Community Involvement Programme, which supports non-profit or voluntary organisations, saving the charitable organisation essential funds that can be used to ensure its hard work continues.

Ken Dunbar, a member of Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team, which is made up of 45 unpaid volunteers, said: “Our garage, with leaky, asbestos walls and no heating was in dire need of renovation, but we didn’t have the facilities to store our expensive, specialist rescue equipment whilst the work was carried out.

“The efficient service we received from every member of the Mobile Mini team has enabled us to organise the emptying of the garage ready for building work to begin quickly, while also being safe in the knowledge that our equipment is safe and secure on site.”

Once the work has been completed, Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team will benefit from a secure area to store and maintain equipment and vehicles, as well as space for training.

Dawne McClelland, manager of Mobile Mini’s Middlesbrough branch said: “It was a privilege to support a team of volunteers that can be called on at any time to the aid of those in need in our area.

“We’re proud to be part of the development of the charity, ensuring its work can continue.”
