Fast growing, Manchester based technology company Telcom has announced today it has been granted Code powers from Ofcom. This will enable the company to deploy new fibre infrastructure faster and more cost effectively to customers across the UK. Telcom are now able to offer cheaper, quicker and easier deployment of gigabit capable fibre and extend its own fibre broadband network.
With a Government aim to switch-off copper networks by 2025, fibre rollout is increasingly necessary to support new tech, growing demand for higher levels of connection reliability and bandwidth to enable businesses to benefit from faster upload and download speeds. This announcement means Telcom is uniquely positioned in the sector to provide greater levels of speed, reliability, deployment and affordability to customers by being a provider of its own fibre infrastructure. This removes the reliance to work with other network providers and allows Telcom to offer an end-to-end connectivity services to its customers.
Telcom will now expedite the roll out of its fibre network in Manchester and the wider North West passing hundreds of residential and commercial premises that will then benefit from its superior connectivity services. Telcom has already had success installing its Preconnect solution for Legal & General, Aviva and JLL to bring their commercial property portfolio the fastest internet in the country. This announcement will enable Telcom to bring 10Gbps capable internet connectivity to even more customers in even more cities.
