Local housebuilder, Barratt Homes Yorkshire West has continued to support the communities in which it builds by donating building materials to help with the construction of a new patio for the recently-constructed, brand new Cullingworth Village Hall.

Barratt Homes donated the building materials to help construct a patio area that café customers and visitors can make use of at the new village hall. The patio marks the end of the construction project of the new hall, in which the housebuilder also provided a skip and a donation of £411,000 through S106 funding together with Bradford Council.

Ian Ruthven, Managing Director at Barratt Homes commented: “We are delighted to have been able to support the construction of the new Cullingworth Village Hall. We are always looking for ways that we can support the communities in which we build so we were thrilled to have the opportunity to help out and we look forward to seeing the local community use the facilities at the fantastic new village hall premises!”
Janet Toner, Chair of the Village Hall Management Committee, commented: “We are extremely grateful to Barratt Homes for supporting the construction of the new hall – which includes Cullingworth Preschool and the Italian café, Danchinos. We relied on support and donations from the local community, the Lottery and charitable trust foundations to fund the construction of the new hall. It is great that businesses such as Barratt Homes get behind the local community, clubs and groups in the areas they are building.”
