The new business community built around Kirkstall Forge in Leeds has grown a bit from it’s centuries old roots as a metalworking, engineering and iron production centre.
Nowadays, thanks to CEG, Kirkstall Forge has a new purpose and is growing fast as a business, retail, leisure and housing hub.
Key to the Kirkstall Forge development for local and national business has been the development underway for 300,000 square feet of office space.
Yorkshire based Ultimate (Commercial Interiors) Ltd, an interior fit out, furniture and design consultancy have recently completed a turn-key CAT A & CAT B interior design and fit out for Kirkstall Forge Studios at Number One Kirkstall Forge.
“We’ve worked with CEG for several years across many sites, and most recently on the fit out for this stunning office development,” says Mark Hickey, director of Ultimate.
“On top of a turn-key cat A & cat B interior design and fit out to convert a large open plan floor plate into various sized office suites, we modified various mechanical and electrical installations throughout. As you can see, the high specification products and finishes we selected to create a modern working environment have been used to great effect.”
Ultimate made use of crittall style glazed partitions with reeded glass manifestation, similar to the earlier instillation at Kirkstall Forge. Contemporary living green walls, feature lighting and open ceiling were also used to create a striking corridor space with all services painted black stylish furniture pieces placed throughout.
“Following on from the stunning ground floor fit out that Ultimate undertook, we had no hesitation in re-engaging them to deliver the next project,” said Paul Richardson, Investment Manager at CEG. “They haven’t let us down as the new Let Ready studios look fantastic.”
