Mitre Delta Max

Brand Design Agency, Uniform reveal the Mitre Delta Max – the new season 2020/21 football for the English Football League.

The ball’s new design will be unveiled today on the plinth at Wembley.

The bold design with its hypnotic and eye-catching pink and blue patterns is sure to grab the attention of players and fans. With innovative Hyperseam TM technology, the Mitre Delta Max EFL ball delivers optimum control, speed, and stability. As well as being an unbelievably accurate flight.

There are few people in the UK with the understanding of how to design a football as the sphere is notoriously difficult to work with. Creating a design that wraps around seamlessly, is a timely task.

Uniform’s Richard Pay is one designer who has mastered the unique skill and has now designed over 20 footballs to date.

Uniform’s Creative Lead, Richard Pay, said; “Imagine designing a poster that has no start point, no end point, no top, or bottom, no edge. Just seamlessly connected all the way around. That’s what designing a football is like. The design needs to transition from one panel to the next, all the way around and back to itself. We developed a concept based on the idea of the flow state – a fluid, organic graphic. It was crucial that the design is distinct and will stand out at a small size when constantly on the move. No small feat. But we love a challenge.”

Sean Kavanagh, Sports Marketing Director Mitre said: “We can’t wait to unveil the new Mitre Delta EFL football ahead of the EFL play-offs. Whilst it won’t be seen on pitch until the 2020/21 season, it’s already received brilliant feedback from players in training. The ball is packed with all the technology players have come to expect from Mitre and the design is striking. We’re confident it’ll stand out on pitches next season and prove to be a game changer.”
