Urban Green springs into life

Contractors working on Trafford’s latest luxury residential development, Urban Green, have hit a key milestone after reaching the highest point in the construction process.

Developer Heaton Group Developments Limited (Heaton Group’s contracting arm) celebrated the ‘topping out’ at Urban Green with a special event.

Once completed, the development will have 174 luxury high specification one and two bedroom apartments, along with a host of on-site amenities for residents to enjoy including a gym, concierge service and a fabulous rooftop garden.

John Heaton, Managing Director of The Heaton Group, said: “Urban Green has already garnered a lot of interest with all but two units being sold off plan and the location is one of its key selling points. With panoramic views of Manchester City Centre, Manchester United’s Football Stadium and Old Trafford Cricket Club this is an exciting up-and-coming area in Manchester and is proving incredibly popular. MediaCity and the city centre are both just ten-minute tram rides away, yet you’re close to fantastic green spaces like Seymour Park.”

The topping out ceremony was held to mark the placing of the last beam at the top of the structure during its construction.

Ronald Garrett, Managing Director of Alliance Investments, said: “It was fantastic to be part of the Urban Green topping out ceremony with The Heaton Group – seeing another development reach a significant milestone is a testament to our continued relationship with the team.

“Alliance Investments sold out Urban Green within just 12 months of pre-launch, and have recently released two final duplex penthouses with huge terraces and fantastic views of the city.

“Urban Green adds to the success achieved across other joint projects with The Heaton Group, such as The Exchange and Bishopgate Gardens in Preston, and now we are experiencing the same demand for our latest launch in Manchester, Berkeley Square”

Urban Green will deliver a high standard of city living in the heart of one of Manchester’s newest emerging neighbourhoods. The development also boasts communal gardens, a residents’ roof terrace, co-working spaces, a residents’ lounge and concierge service.

Dave George Director at Studio KMA lead architect on the development said: “It’s always good to work with such a great design team and construction team, it makes things much easier, and it’s been a privilege to work on the Urban Green development. We’re looking forward to seeing the finished article.”

John Heaton added: “It’s important to us at Heaton Group when developing sites that we also keep in mind we’re creating communities and how a person’s home also affects their wellbeing. We don’t see buildings just as units where people live or work. To us, our buildings are where people create their homes and their communities. They’re where they live and work and socialise and it’s vital that we create and provide the best developments we can for people to be able to do this.”

Urban Green is scheduled for completion Q4 2023.
