Verity Opticians celebrating with Oliver Peoples partnership

Verity Opticians is celebrating after beginning a new partnership with luxury LA spectacle brand Oliver Peoples. The partnership means that a selection of the iconic frames will be stocked at the Ilkley branch of Verity Opticians.

It’s a coup for Paul Verity, Director and registered dispensing optician. “We couldn’t be happier that Oliver Peoples have selected us as their trusted supplier for our area. We’re the only opticians in Ilkley, Otley and Shipley that have the rights to stock Oliver Peoples frames alongside our expert eye health services. What’s so special about Oliver Peoples is that their appeal is universal, and they look just as stylish on 27 year olds as they do on 77 year olds.”

Oliver Peoples started life as a small design house in LA, and now have boutiques around the world. Their frames are still made by hand and feature intricate detail and bold design. The brand is often featured in films and on television and is a firm favourite of stylish celebrities including Harrison Ford, Jennifer Aniston and Emma Stone.

The new partnership isn’t the only good news for the local opticians this year. The Otley branch has grown with two new members joining the team. Helen Walmsley started in May as a Lens Expert and is qualified in Ophthalmic Dispensing. Rabia has also joined the Otley branch this year, and is an experienced optometrist.
“We’ve really lucked out with the addition of Helen and Rabia to our Otley team. They’re experts at what they do and I know our customers are in good hands with them”, says Paul Verity.

The continued investment in expert staff and the latest eye health technology is all part of Paul’s dedication to improving eye health. “Our lifestyles are leading to more eye problems. Blue light commonly associated with smartphones and tablets is having a negative impact on people’s vision, and diseases including diabetes can also lead to vision deterioration. We always recommend regular eye examinations as part of a general health MOT, and to help detect some eye problems early.”
