WhiteNoise Media tees up new digital campaign for Ghetto Golf

Lee Holdsworth, CEO of WhiteNoise Media

Manchester-based agency, WhiteNoise Media, has been appointed by Ghetto Golf to handle digital marketing for the popular mini golf attraction.

The Liverpool-based leisure business has created a new crazy golf entertainment concept, including cocktails, street food and DJs. The original Ghetto Golf venues were opened in Liverpool and Birmingham in 2017 with further openings planned for 2019. Set within disused buildings, the 18-hole mini golf course venues provide a fully immersive experience and are decorated with colourful graffiti and street art, making each one unique.

Ghetto Golf was looking to appoint a digital first agency to help grow exposure in existing cities and build awareness in new locations, as the brand embarks on a nationwide expansion plan for 2019 and beyond. It’s already one of the best-loved entertainment spots in Liverpool and Birmingham, but, with new sites on the horizon, the management team was keen to enlist the services of a digital agency to ensure communications and marketing were above par.

Lee Holdsworth, CEO of WhiteNoise Media, says: “We loved the concept behind Ghetto Golf and the team was so open minded and creative that we were confident our ideas and approach would be a hit. Our brief was to create a deeper understanding of who their customers are and create a cohesive digital strategy that would support their business objectives and deliver against their goals. We’ll be working together to attract the right audiences, to position the venues in existing cities and create a buzz around new openings.

“Consumers are looking for something different on a night out and the rise of experiential bars is becoming one of the fastest growing trends in the hospitality sector. Themed entertainment attractions such as Ghetto Golf really tap into popular culture, especially among millennials and younger adults, so digital and social media are key to attracting these audiences. We’re excited to start work with Ghetto Golf and build on its existing success, and take its digital communications to the next level.

Louise Kemp, Ghetto Golf marketing director, says: “We have got off to a brilliant start with our first two venues and as we expand we want to ensure we are communicating effectively and engaging with our audiences. WhiteNoise Media really understood our brand and positioning and we’re confident their digital strategy will raise our game, deliver impressive results, and support our bold expansion plans in an exciting and creative way.”
