Work begins on retirement living apartments in Lytham St Annes

Building work has begun on new retirement living apartments in Lytham St Annes.

The new development, on Wharf Street, will offer an innovative approach to independent living so Homeowners don’t have to compromise on their lifestyle, their social life or their independence.

Alexandra Johnson, Sales and Marketing Director for Adlington Retirement Living, said: “We believe that later life doesn’t have to mean sacrificing the things you love. Retiring should be inspiring. Our approach respects our Homeowners’ privacy, surrounds them with friendly, like-minded people and supports their health and wellbeing today and in the future.

“We’re noticing more and more people choosing to move to upmarket and aspirational retirement communities whilst they’re fit and healthy – to future-proof retirement with peace of mind for the years ahead, and also to free up more time to focus on enjoying life.

Due to open in the Spring of 2022, The Sidings will comprise 65 retirement living apartments for the over 55s, featuring a Homeowners’ lounge, table service restaurant, hairdressing salon, therapy suite and fully maintained gardens.

A selection of one, two- and three-bedroom apartments will be available, all designed to make everyday life easier, safer and more comfortable. Every detail has been considered from the natural light and user-friendly layout to the spacious storage cupboards and private patios or balconies.

Quality fixtures and fittings will include hardwearing 80% wool carpets that reduce heat loss and add a touch of luxury, feature fireplaces, fully fitted kitchens with integrated appliances and specially designed wet rooms.

Optional personal care packages will be available tailored to individuals’ needs and a 24-hour emergency call system is linked to a dedicated on-site support team, 365 days a year.

Adlington Retirement Living develops and operates high-end, purpose-built retirement communities in the North West and Yorkshire.

Three Adlington Retirement Living communities have won Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards for the Best Retirement Living Development in the UK at the WhatHouse? Awards, the UK housebuilding’s most prestigious event. The Bridges in Macclesfield won the Silver Award in 2019, Adlington House in Otley won the Gold Award in 2017 and Adlington House in Portishead won the Bronze Award in 2015.

The judges recognised both the spacious, superbly appointed apartments and the unique approach to independent living, praising the fact that Adlington Homeowners don’t have to compromise on their independence, privacy and social life.
