Black Friday is an important date for retailers and shoppers alike, seeing shops fill with people eager to take advantage of generous in-store discounts. The difficulty for many professionals, however, is that they are stuck in the office with no chance of nipping out to bag a bargain.
Global workspace provider Regus is coming to the rescue, offering a solution to workers in Sheffield who are worried about missing out on Black Friday’s rock-bottom prices. The company is offering free access to its business lounge in Meadowhall shopping centre for the day, giving people a chance to work in a professional setting with free WiFi and refreshments, whilst remaining close to the shops.
Richard Morris, UK CEO at Regus comments: “Local workers don’t have to head to the office and miss the bargains this Black Friday. By using our workspace in Meadowhall shopping centre they can stay productive and be ideally placed to hit the shops.
“Hopefully, initiatives like this will open more people’s eyes to the advantages of flexible working such as improved worker morale and productivity.”
Flexible working is on the rise in the UK, with nearly half of all office workers now able to work remotely for at least half the week.
