A wealth management company in Stockton-on-Tees has bolstered its team with the appointment of an 18-year-old Office Administrator.

Nile Rutter, from Ferryhill, joined the Paul Gilsenan Wealth Management practice recently and is looking forward to learning more about the finance industry, in the hopes to eventually qualify as a Financial Advisor.

Having only recently turned 18, Nile has just finished studying his A-Levels at Durham Sixth Form and is looking to get stuck into a role where he can expand on his finance knowledge.

The exciting opportunity arose for him at a St James’s Place Academy open evening, as the night progressed it was then discovered that there was a possible future available with Paul who is a partner of St James Place.

The team in the Wynyard-based office will now be working closely with him to help him pursue his career options within the industry.

Nile said: “I was really pleased to be offered this new role working with Paul as it’s a fantastic opportunity to get my foot in the door and begin a career in finance.

“My responsibilities currently include, offering support to the practice’s clients through investment updates, maintaining and updating their account information as well as dealing with other Financial companies to gather information about our clients.

“I am really enjoying this level of responsibility I have been given as it has allowed me to expand my skill set already and the support from the team in the office has been amazing.”

Nile is also finding it interesting to learn more about the ins and outs of the industry and the in-depth details of the financial services sector. He is looking forward to becoming a qualified paraplanner and then qualifying as a Financial Advisor to work with Paul in the future.

Paul Gilsenan, Director of the company, said: “Being able to offer Nile a role within our growing team was a great delight and it’s fantastic to see the skills he had already learnt at Durham Sixth Form.

“We will be working closely with him over the next few months to really help him learn new skills in finance, as developing raw talent is very important to us.”
