Yorkshire-based fashion innovators shortlisted in trio of awards

A Leeds-based designer and manufacturer of fashion accessories has been shortlisted in a trio of prestigious business awards.

Vanacci has been shortlisted in the PD Ports Northern Powerhouse Export Awards, Insider Made In Yorkshire awards and the FSB awards.

The first of the three award ceremonies, the PD Ports Northern Powerhouse Export Awards, will take place on 22 February at Leeds Town Hall. Vanacci is shortlisted for E-commerce exporter of the year at the awards, which aim to celebrate businesses entrepreneurial exporting achievements as well as encourage others to increase their export potential.

Established in 2014, Vanacci offers a range of unique designs for men’s jewellery, wallets, pendants and cufflinks including fragrance releasing bracelets. Vanacci combines Italian design with British craftmanship, fusing style with practicality in each piece, crafted by hand in its Leeds headquarters.


Consisting of a tight-knit team of designers, engineers and fashion professionals, Vanacci is headed-up by co-founder and managing director, James Whitfield. James is supported by fellow co-founders, sales director, Ryan Ward and creative director, Sean Sykes. The company has also recently appointed operations director, Paegan Ward.

Vanacci is also shortlisted in the Insider Media Made In Yorkshire Awards, in the Manufacturing Innovation category. The event will take place on 1 March at the Royal Armouries, Leeds, with an aim to celebrate companies in Yorkshire and the Humber and the products they are making and selling across the world.

The company has also been named in the final three for the Business Exporter of the Year category at the FSB Celebrating Small Business awards: Yorkshire and the Humber region, which will take place on 7 March at John Smith Stadium in Huddersfield.

Having recently exceeded its Kickstarter campaign by more than 2000%, the company is on track for continued growth throughout 2018.

With retailers and wholesalers in Europe, Singapore, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, the company also has firm plans to dominate the US market over the next few years.
