An investment in state-of-the-art technology and a team made up of the best aesthetics talent in the UK have contributed to a Yorkshire clinic’s outstanding awards success in 2019.

Owned and managed by cosmetic tattooist, Sarah Smith, Holmfirth-based Yorkshire Cosmetic Laser Clinic has scooped not one, but two key industry accolades in the same year – and all before it prepares to celebrate half a decade in business.

Nominated by its clients, the team at the renowned aesthetic clinic scooped the coveted title of Aesthetic Clinic of the Year at this year’s English Hair and Beauty Awards, while Sarah was awarded the title of Eyebrow Artist of the Year at the UK-wide Micropigmentation Awards.

Joined by permanent make-up artist Amy Bissett; clinic manager, Hannah Devlin; laser and IPL technician Rebecca Colling, and registered nurse, Rebecca Hopkinson, Sarah continues to expand her team and the clinic’s services.

The Clinic’s staff recently headed to a glamorous awards ceremony at Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel, where they beat off stiff competition from a shortlist of 10 finalist clinics from across the North of England to win the title of Aesthetic Clinic of the Year 2019 at the English Hair and Beauty Awards.

The award recognises the fact that the Yorkshire Cosmetic Laser Clinic has built a UK-wide reputation in aesthetics, particularly in the field of laser tattoo removal. The Clinic is one of only a handful across the country with a medical grade tattoo removal laser that can safely remove all treatable colours of tattoo ink, and has been achieving fantastic results for its clients.

The English Hair and Beauty awards is designed to recognise and celebrate those in the hair and beauty industry ‘who make us look and feel our best and often go above and beyond to do so’.

Speaking shortly after the win, a delighted Sarah Smith, said: “Winning this award was a dream come true for our clinic. Our team of specialists have worked so hard over the past five years to build a UK wide reputation for the highest quality treatments and the best equipment available. To have this recognition that we’re exceeding our clients’ expectations is more than we could hope for!”

Sarah’s prestigious accolade of Eyebrow Artist of the Year (Over 2 Years) at The UK Micropigmentation Awards 2019 also recognised her well-deserved reputation as one of the country’s leading specialists in her field. Micropigmentation UK distributes awards to professionals who have displayed exceptional professionalism and technical proficiency in the field of cosmetic tattooing and permanent makeup treatments.

With 167 entrants and 10 finalists up for the award, Sarah was thrilled to take home the trophy, and placed second for the Permanent Make-Up Artist of the Year (Over 2 Years) award.

“I am astounded to be selected from so many talented colleagues to win this award.” Sarah spoke of the accolade, “Permanent Makeup is becoming an increasingly popular treatment for both medical and cosmetic reasons and it is an absolute honour and a privilege to be recognised as one of the leading specialists in the UK.”

Committed to helping people look and feel their best, Sarah also supports cancer and alopecia patients who are on the road to recovery and self-care. By offering semi-permanent eyebrow treatments due to hair loss as a result of alopecia or chemotherapy, Sarah helps restore confidence in those who may need it most.
